SLR Magic HyperPrime CINE 50mm T0.95 Lens

Lens manufacturer SLR Magic announces their HyperPrime 50mm 0.95 CINE lens for mounting on the Leica M. In addition the lens can be adapted easily to the Micro 4/3s or the Sony NEX. Engineered for poor light and shallow field depth available-light photography and videography. The lens contains 12 elements within 7 groups and, SLR Magic says, is optimized for shooting with a wide open aperture. You won't be able to get the lens until September 2012. Meanwhile, SLR magic has also revealed a new spotting scope to directly mount to Micro 4/3s cameras. The all new SLR Magic 50mm T0.95 CINE is the world's quickest interchangeable camera lens featuring an image circle larger than a full frame focal length, this new concept from SLR Magic lens will be on hand for testing during the Photokina September 2012 in Cologne, Germany.

The maximum field of view for this latest HyperPrime Lens is like a 50mm lens mounted on a 35mm SLR film camera. It was engineered for wide open aperture shooting. Being a normal focal length ultra fast prime lens it opens doors many new creative compositional prospects, in particular for the areas of existing light, in street and portrait cinematography. Manufactured with up=to-date non aspherical lens engineering, the lens shines when it comes to defocusing frenzied backgrounds. A 0.70m minimum focus distance delivers artistic bokeh effects. A fast maximum 0.95 aperture makes this HyperPrime 50mm 0.95 CINE perfect for existing-light shooting.

The utmost priority in developing and designing HyperPrime 50mm 0.95 CINE was to create solid and reliable lens. This new concept lens, will become available from retailers toward the last of September 2012. New Review Jan 2, 2011 blue star rating
