The Samsung NX-M 9mm f/3.5 ED is a wide-angle prime lens for the Samsung NX Mini Mirrorless Digital Camera and its NX-M lens mount. It provides 24.3mm focal length equivalence in the 35mm format which is ideal for many wide-angle applications from landscapes and interiors to group photos and hand-held self-portraits. Its minimum focus distance is just 4.3".
Like the camera it was designed for the NX-M 9mm distinguishes itself with its compact size, measuring approximately 0.5" when retracted and weighing just 1 ounce. Its retractable design allows it to be left on the camera and comfortably carried in pants or jacket pockets.
The lens construction consists of 6 optical elements in 5 groups including one Xtreme High Refractive lens, one aspherical element and one Extra-low Dispersion element. These minimize aberrations and contribute to color accuracy, contrast and clarity.
