Tilt-Shift f/3.5 Lens in mounts for Canon, Nikon and and Sony is a full-frame, wide-angle lens featuring tilt-shift and perspective control functions. The tilt-shift allows photographers to manage perspective and rectify converging of lines within the frame,
particularly useful in shooting architecture, landscape and products. The optical tilt device provide precise depth of field and
perspective control. It is well-suited for both digital and SLR format cameras featuring a 83.5º angle of view and a 59.9º angle of view on 35mm equivalent
APS-C size sensors.
The tilt-shift role on the Rokonon 24mm lens allows adjusting the lens focal plane by +/-8.5º angle and facilitates parallel shifting of its optical axis +/-12mm. The tilt-shift portion of the lens can rotate left 90º (with click-stop adjustments every 30º) while the lens mount itself can rotate either left or right up to 90º (with click-stop adjustments every 30º).
The lens is made up of 16 elements within 11 groups, which includes two aspherical lenses along with a pair of
ED (Enhanced Dispersion) lenses, which diminish aberrations and deliver sharp details along with accurate separation of colors. Anti-reflective UMC multi-layer coating on each of the lens elements deliver even light transmission, cutting down on flare and ghosting.
To allow the Tilt-Shift function to be even more transparent, together with the lens mount, the Tilt-Shift portion can be rotated on its optical axis. The Tilt-Shift portion may be rotated to the left up to 90 degrees (using 30 degree adjustments), while the lens mount may be rotated in both left and right directions up to 90 degrees, also using 30 degree adjustments.
The mechanism within the TS is pretty similar to the latest Canon TS-Es, while there is a distinct gap amid the tilt and the shift portions that would define the rotation point.
