The Nikon COOLPIXA10 features a smooth, curved camera body with a built-in grip to aid users comfortably hold it and reduce camera shake. The  A10 has an elegant design that offers an effective 16.1 megapixels, and comes with a 5x optical zoom NIKKOR lens handling a range of focal lengths that starts at a 26mm (equivalent in 35mm format) wide-angle. Owners can easily appreciate taking beautiful, high-quality images using Scene Auto Selector mode, which selects and applies the most advantageous scene mode automatically, and retouch functions including Quick Effects and Special Effects have been upgraded.

The Coolpix A100 features a 20.1-megapixel sensor and contains a built-in 5x optical zoom Nikkor lens, delivering an equivalent focal length of 26-130mm. For additional reach, the A100 also provides Dynamic Fine Zoom digital zoom which implements up to a 260mm equivalent focal length.

This sleek camera weighs just 4.2 ounces with a depth of 0.78 inches. The A100 has a 2.7" monitor and a maximum ISO 3200 sensitivity. With creative functions that are there to “make taking pictures more fun,” the A100 gives users simple ways to alter and enhance their images. The A100 incorporates eight special effects that are each created for unique subjects and scenes. Also there is a Creative Slider which can be used to adjust brightness, vividness, and hue when you’re out shooting. For adjusting images you’ve previously acquired, there are six quick effects and twelve glamour retouch options.

What's more, the A10 is powered by AA batteries available just about everywhere, allowing users to the flexibly of choice should the batteries become drained on unexpected outings. When shooting with alkaline batteries, you can expect a battery life to be around 200 shots. Lithium ion batteries dramatically increase the battery life up to 730 shots.
