Loaded With Interesting New Technology
Canon PowerShot SX160 IS 16MP superzoom
A replacement of the SX150 within the PowerShot lineup, is a digital compact camera containing enhanced features, and provides several significant improvements over the previous version. First off is the 1/2.3" CCD 16MP resolution image sensor (enhanced from 14MP), plus a lens that's 16x
(increased from 12x) which now begins at 28mm (which is 35mm equivalent).
The SX160 has been fitted full of interesting new technology. It uses an array of image stabilization approaches, including hybrid
shift-style camera shake adjustment, panning motion, which is a function to use when capturing videos when the lens zoomed out to its greatest telephoto length, plus a "Dynamic" mode which works with the wide angle situation to iron out shakiness that can take place while shooting and walking during the same time. - Aug 22, 2012
