Canon EOS 1D Mark IVFirmware for Canon 1D Mark IV DSLR and Canon 5D Mark II DSLR updated
Canon firmware updated for Canon 1D Mark IV and Canon 5D Mark II DSLRs. Versions 1.1.0 and versions 2.0.9 firmware respectively both enhance read/write speeds when using UDMA 7-congruent CF cards, plus also fixes minor glitches and language menu issues. The firmware can be downloaded from the Canon regional websites.

EOS-1D Mark IV Enhancements

    Firmware update (Version 1.1.0) includes the following enhancements and fixes.
    1. Enhances the writing/reading speeds when using UDMA 7-congruent CF cards.
    2. takes care of a phenomenon that happens when employing high-capacity (32 GB or greater) CF cards: If either a CF card with only a little available space remaining or the battery is removed and then reinserted into the camera, and then the photographer attempts to start shooting movies immediately, shooting may stop.
    3. Fixes some errors in the menu screens displayed in Arabic and Portuguese.
EOS 5D Mark II Enhancements
    Firmware update (Version 2.0.9) includes the following enhancements and fixes.
    1. Enhances the writing/reading speeds when employing UDMA 7-congruent CF cards.
    2. Takes care of a phenomenon that happens when custom function C.Fn III-2 is set to [5: IS start] to assign IS start to the AF stop button on the lens: When employed with lenses that do not have an AF stop button, the IS function will not work.
    3. Fixes some errors in the menu screens displayed in Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, and Thai.

Canon EOS 7D digital SLR firmware update v1.2.5


Canon announces an updated firmware for the EOS 7D DSLR camera. This v1.2.5 firmware update takes care of some bugs affecting stills and movie recording with certain CF memory cards for image stabilization with certain lenses while using the custom setting mode. This newest version also increases read/write speeds while using UDMA 7 congruent CF cards.

Canon updates firmware v1.0.1 for the EOS Rebel T3i / 600D


Canon updates the firmware for the EOS Rebel T3i in Europe 600D digital SLR. This new firmware version 1.0.1 clears up the in-screen feature guide describing of the digital zooming operation while in the movie operation, and takes care of a bug that relates to computer connectivity using USB.

Canon firmware updated for 60D EOS

Canon has made a firmware update available for the mid-level 60D EOS  DSLR. Firmware v1.0.8 fixes the phenomenon where some captured images tend to overexpose when using the camera’s built-in flash or an external Speedlite when combined with some lenses.

Canon has already announced a firmware update for its EOS 7D digital SLR. Version 1.0.9 improves AF accuracy during live view shooting. It also rectifies an occasional problem of abnormal color display in movie mode and freezing of the shutter release when using the built-in flash or an external speedlight.

Canon announces firmware update for EOS Rebel XS/1000D October 13, 2009
Canon has posted a firmware update for its EOS Rebel XS (1000D) DSLR. Version 1.0.6 resolve the matter relevant to an "Err 99"- shooting not possible message. It also resolves other issues related to its LCD display, viewfinder information and freezing of the shutter release. The firmware is available for immediate download from Canon's website.

Firmware v1.2.2 fixes AF point selection and display bugs occurring under specific shooting conditions, and also addresses an error in movie mode.
