Combining a cutting-edge feature-set with a compact design, the Pentax K-70 which is available in black or silver is a sleek DSLR identified by its multimedia capabilities, penchant for poor-light shooting and tough construction. Centered around a 24.24 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor along with a PRIME MII image processor, the K-70 is capable of continuous still image shooting up to 6 frames per second and Full 1080p HD video capture, and has a broad sensitivity range all the way to ISO 204800. The sensor's design also skips an anti-aliasing filter, as a way to obtain increased sharpness and resolution, but also takes advantage of a unique Selectable Anti-Aliasing Filter mode that vibrates the sensor as a way to mimic the moiré-diminishing effects of a filter. The sensor-shift device also applies Shake Reduction image stabilization, to diminish the appearance of camera shake, while adding Pixel Shift Resolution, to composite sequential exposures as a way to gain increased detail and resolution.
Adding to the imaging capabilities, the K-70 is just as refined in handling and design, and provides a dust-, freeze-, and weather-resistant components for working in taxing conditions. A big 921k-dot 3.0" LCD is provided, and features a vari-angle layout to provide working from both high and low angles, while a unique Night Vision setting may be applied to deliver a red-colored display as a way to maintain night-adjusted vision while shooting in dark situations. In addition, built-in Wi-Fi provides wireless image sharing and remote control of the camera using a mobile device, and the K-70 is also features an optional O-GPS1 GPS Module for AstroTracer and geotagging functions.
