Accurate Flesh Hues, Natural Colors, Bright Blue Skies

Olympus e-5 Four Thirds Camera The Olympus E-5 utilizes a distinctive combination of state of the art technologies to supply the best image quality within the Olympus family. Combined with a 12.3 megapixel Live MOS High-Speed image sensor, the TruePic V+ Olympus Imaging Processor delivers colorful, clear pictures using the entire pixel information down at at a single pixel level to deliver the best digital pictures achievable. The increased detail comes about because of the latest Fine Detail Processing engineering, taking advantage of a sophisticated algorithm which delivers all the aspects from every pixel for more intense detail than images captured on other cameras using the same amount of pixels.

It's image processor is well-known for precise accurate-to-life flesh hues, natural colors, bright blue skies and exacting tonal expression; Image noise is also reduced in pictures acquired at higher ISO venues (ISO 100 thru ISO 6400), allowing terrific results in poor-lighting situations.

The OLympus E-5 employs an on board mechanical Image stabilizer to counteract camera movement as much as 5 steps EV to diminish image blur created by camera shake, and provides blur-free photos captured using any of the available ZUIKO® DIGITAL lenses. Additionally the Image Stabilization perform with not just the longer lens focal lengths, but also with fisheye, wide, and evven ultra-wide lenses, allowing long exposures during night scene and poor-light settings providing sharp, stabilized results.

A 3.inch 270 Degree swivel dual axis HyperCrystal® LCD featuring 920,000 dots allows for easy framing HD (High Definition) movies and still photos from any angle of low thru high and from one side to another providing precise composition.

Ten on board Art Filters including fresh Dramatic Tone supplement the e-5's impressive set of features. For the very first time ever, photographers can utilize Art Filters within every shooting mode, including:, shutter priority, program auto, aperture priority and even manual modes plus movies using expanded control. Capable of capturing both stills and video, the Olympus E-5 provides HD video in a DSLR E-System for the very first time. Oct 30, 2011 ✓
