A photographic work of art of President Lincoln
Captured February 5, 1865. President Lincoln was the very first American president who used photography for political reasons. During his initial presidential campaign during 1860, thirty-five portrait images of the presidential candidate taken by Mathew Brady a photographer and circulated throughout the nation.

The immediacy from a photograph produced a feeling of intimacy between a viewer and a subject (or the voter and the candidate) that scant few painted portraits ever achieved especially in the middle of the nineteenth century, when photography was still unique to many Americans At that era, photography, or picture-taking as it was called, was extremely new while the cameras were quite huge.

Tamron and Tokina
Become Micro Four Thirds Members

Must Have Photo Accessories That Cost less Than $25
Let's face it photography is an expensive hobby. Cameras cost a bunch and DSLR lenses often are more expensive than the camera. After you grasp the amount of money you need to spend on the bare essentials it can be disheartening to think about coming up with another fortune for accessories.
However, there's good news, there are lots of photo accessories priced under $25 (US).
Here's a list containing my favorites, while they often a priced much less than $25. However I dont consider them to be "budget or cheap" articles. They are invaluable tools I would have these items n my gadget bag even if the cost wasn't an issue. The combination of low cost along with value means they also make great gifts.
1. Nikon (or similar) Lens Caps - I really love the Canon, although they
manufacture the world's worst lens caps. Nikon lens caps are much easier to use.
