Pixie Woods Stockton's own fairyland for the 'young in age and the young at heart.' Take a ride on the merry-go-round, or board the Pixie Express Train traveling through Indian territory -- but be on the lookout for pirates! Kids can ride a stagecoach and ponies in this fairyland-theme park built in the 1950s. Big shade trees and lawns make this a pleasant place for parents to linger while children enjoy the playground. Special shows are featured in the Toadstool Theater on Sundays. The park opens for the season in March. Kids to about 10 years old will love riding the little train past Frontier Town, the carousel, and the steam paddle wheeler on the lagoon. A very thrilling for the under-ten crowd and anyone else easily amused. Snacks and fast food are available.

Micke Grove Japanese Garden
This beautiful Japanese Garden had its beginnings in 1959 through the guidance of “Duke” Yoshimura. Born in Sacramento and educated in Japan, Yoshimura had returned to the United States, entering high school to learn English. “Duke” would come to serve in the armed forces during World War II, where he also taught judo.
