The Voigtlander 40mm f/2.0 SL-II Ultron Manual Focus Camera Lens features an ultra-condensed, robust featuring a first rate traditional build with classic style, employing modern optical lens engineering. This lens is a member of the SL II lens series, meaning it employs a Central Processing Unit (CPU) as an integral part of the lens. With the CPU as part of the lens permits supporting of 3D Matrix metering plus matrix balancing of fill flash on every SLR camera, including digital DSLR cameras (only manual focus of course). Additionally, it also allows the aperture to also be under control of the command dial on the camera'.

This lens features a briilliant maximum f/2 aperture, employing a minimum 1.25' (38cm) focusing distance, plus a maximum 1:7 magnification ratio. However, it also includes a dedicated close-up lens, resulting in a minimum 0.8' (25cm) focusing distance, plus a maximum 1:4 magnification ratio. Mounted on an APS-C DSLR sensor camera, this lens becomes an 35mm equivalent to a 60mm  lens. Updated Review May 14, 2011
