At 2.5f it is a “Story Telling” Lens
The tiny Color-Skopar Voigtlander 35mm f/2.5 lens includes a metal lens barrel plus an aperture diaphragm with 10 blades which creates pleasant out-of-focus bokeh highlights. There are click stop aperture half-stop intervals for making fine-tuning of exposure or in the depth-of-field effortless.
The lens constructions feels quite solid. If you've ever held a CV 50/2.5, you know what I'm talking about. This lens weighs only 134g, but is extremely dense. The black finish is well... beautiful, featuring scorings in white & red. The lens hood is created out of black aluminum and is well built, .although it feels stiff although a fall from a waist height level would probably put a dent in it. The lens bayonet clicks decisively and firmly into place. Additionally the lens cap may be attached even while the hood is on.
The focusing ring is stiff, although, I would imagine it will slacken up some with use. The throw is a bit longer than the original pancake, although it feels simpler and more definite in focusing. The aperture ring lightly clicks and easily nudged from position by a finger gone astray.
The standard Leica M-mount is employed on this lens, allowing it to be compatible with the Voigtlander Bessa T And Bessa R2 cameras, along with the Leica M cameras.
