The Tokina f/6.3 300mm Telephoto Reflex Macro Lens for the Micro 4/3 Mount is an ultra-telephoto, compact lens designed expressly for compact mirrorless cameras with a micro 4/3 (MFT) camera mount. The lens can be classified as being an ultra-telephoto lens because its 35mm equivalent focal length is 600mm, which brings distant objects very near. Being that it's a catadioptric lens (mirror) engineered for mirrorless cameras, the lens is especially compact, however its metal barrel assures it's durability.
The lens features an f/6.3 fixed aperture and is manual focus. It's smooth focusing action with an extra-wide focusing ring provide for accurate telephoto focusing and ease of operation. The multiple-layer lens coatings cut down on optical aberrations and reflections and being that its a catadioptric lens, any chromatic aberration is next to non-existent.
