Created for Full-Frame size cameras, this new Tokina 17-35mm F/4 AT-X provides photographers with a great wide-angle choice. Featuring a focal length with just 17mm while at the wide end the lens delivers an impressive 103.9 degree viewing field making it great for photographing in tight environments or for acquiring wide expanses of landscape.
A compact wide zoom lens with a brilliant unvarying F/4 aperture opening makes auto focus and composing possible in poor light environments although still staying within an acceptable weight and size.
A pair of Super-Low Dispersion glass (SLD) elements plus a single aspheric glass make up the proprietary Tokina optical layout to accomplish excellent sharpness and contrast along with managing chromatic aberration.
The Tokina proprietary Single-touch Focus Clutch device allows a photographer to move from AF and MF by merely by snapping the focus ring forward for auto focus and towards the lens mount to obtain manual focusing. In Addition the engineering has been created for improved seals around parts that move, creating for a more water-resistant* lens than than past lenses. The 17-35mm lens is also engineered to handle the severity of day in and out use by photographers using a wide array of shooting environments and situations.
* The 17-35 is just resistant to water, not water-proof while not designed to be submerged or used without protection in heavy rain.
