Description: Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di 1:1 AF Macro Portrait Lens

The 90mm Tamron f/2.8 II macro lens
flaunts it's extensive resolving power and crisp image depiction with perfectly
blured backgrounds , making it an ideal lens for
portrait and
close-up photography. With an emphasis on being portable, a macro lens that's lightweight and compact. The focusing ring is both smooth and wide making precise manual focusing while in macro mode easy to control.
For tight close-ups and portraits will absolutely fall in love with this
prime lens. The sharpness and the image quality are spectacular. The focus ring layout makes it simple to change between
auto focus and manual, which is perhaps one of it's top engineered lens features. It feels somewhat cheap with it's polymer construction however it is not an expensive lens and it's very lightweight making it easy to carry around for extended time periods with hanging from your neck.
The
maximum aperture is f/2.8 from 10 feet through infinity. The maximum aperture reduces when you focus in closer, while at the minimum focus distance, where most will want to shoot to obtain the authentic 1:1, goes clear down to f/5.6. This might at first be somewhat of a shock if you have never seen a review of this 90mm lens, however, even at these close ranges, f/5.6 still provides you with very shallow field depth.. Just that is slower, so a tripod is almost always required unless your hand-holding skills are really good..
Digitally Integrated Design (Di), is a title Tamron includes on their lenses with optical systems engineered to compliment performance characteristics of DSLR cameras. •
Auto-focus is noisy, slow, and hunts somewhat at times.
•
Not a fixed length lens, it's short while focusing at infinity, but extends
out quite a lot when focusing in closer.
•
Plastic construction (ok with some, although others don't like it)
