The Default settings could use some improvement. You may want to go in and change almost all of the settings. Some of the most helpful: changes are: Change the display of the LCD to Big Font. This mode eliminates nonessential icons around the screen. Large font is easier to read, and the controls are way more clear. Turn pop up help off. Pop-up help is always in the way doing every function, the screen cannot even be seen as help totally hides the very thing you're trying to see

Turn off object tracking. When you are attempting to frame an image and the focusing is NOT centered, the touch screen can be used to show where the focusing is supposed to be. But, if object tracking is on the focus starts shifting and moving around even though your subject is not moving. The camera has a preference for centering subjects in your image, instead of using the rule of third.

Turn off the face recognition and also the smile shutter. These functions get in the middle of a great photo composition

The record movie button is located in inconvenient spot. You'll end up pushing in error many times before you realize you did it again when the camera stops functioning to your commands.
