Description: Sony SAL16105 16-105mm f/3.5-5.6 Wide-Range Zoom Lens

The Compact Sony 16-105mm f/3.5-5.6 DT Autofocus wide-angle through telephoto zoom lens especially created for Sony Alpha and the Minolta AP-C DSLR camera bodies. The optics have been computer optimized for best results on the smaller diameter image circle of APS-C size CCD employed on DSLR cameras.
Specially engineered for APS-size CCD image sensors such as the Sony® Exmor sensor. An amazingly condensed premium zoom lens offers superior all-over performance. Its has resembles a 35mm SLR 24mm wide-angle through 157.5mm telephoto length excels at acquiring far off subjects, sporting events, melodramatic landscapes and informal close-up photos.

It's somewhat slower lens than what the f/ stop range designates; the maximum aperture goes down rather fast once you get past 16mm. which is the biggest drawback of this lens. It's perfect as an all-around walk-about lens in sunny weather. But for overcast days, you'll want
to have something a little faster in your hands. Not congruent with 35mm SLR or "full-frame" DSLR cameras
