$699 is really a lot of coin for an 11-18mm lens if you already possess an 18-250
or similar lens. Apart from the cost it's a great performer, although you may not get all that much benefit from it given the short zoom range, unless you happen shoot lots of interior real estate as I do. You're also going to need to come up with a 77mm filter. So it really gets down to how much you're going to shoot with it.
