The new Samsung electronic viewfinder, interchangeable lens (EVIL) camera comes about about a year since the Samsung NX-10 is more than a just rumor, though it was only speculation in January. The more SLR-looking camera seemed well built, but we never heard much more of it again. This spanking new NX-100, though, seems like a real winner. The features, styling, specs, and look tempting, but will it be able to survive with the competition of high-output point-and-shoot cameras and multipurpose DSLRs cameras?
Features: 3" AMOLED 640×480 LCD, 14.6 megapixels APS-C image sensor, 100-3200 ISO, 720p video recording. Optional features include flash, GPS module., and EVF, plus the lenses are extra.
And, talking about of lenses, the ones being launched with the Samsung NX-100 are special - the lenses are called i-Function. Yeah, really original, right? But rather good thinking for this type of camera, and has already been seen in the higher-end video camcorders for a quite some time now. Essentially, there's a ring on the lens that adjusts whatever exposure aspect you choose by using a button located on the lens itself. It could be shutter speed, focus, or aperture, whatever. Choose the mode, adjust, then move to the next shot.
DSLR cameras allow you make adjustments with the thumbwheels and dials, although this is a very simple way to allow someone play around with serious settings. There is a 20-50mm F/3.5-5.6 zoom lens that is absolutely huge when placed next to this camera’s small body, and there's a 20mm F/2.8 pancake lens. I’d choose the pancake lens and just crop, there's plenty enough megapixels to pull that off. In 2011 there’ll be an 18-200mm super zoom, 16-80mm 60mm macro, 16mm wide angle, and 85mm, lenses as well.

As of October 2010, there are thirteen (MILC) cameras available from four manufacturers (Olympus,
Panasonic, Samsung
and Sony), (three from Olympus, four from Panasonic, two from Samsung, and four from Sony), and some similar cameras from other manufacturers (Leica,
Ricoh).
A handful of rangefinder cameras support interchangeable lenses. Three digital rangefinders exist, they are the Epson R-D1 (APS-C-sized sensor), the Leica M8 (APS-H-sized
sensor), both smaller than 35 mm film
rangefinder cameras, and the Leica M9,
which is a full-frame camera.
