Korean made Samyang lenses are also renamed and sold as as Bower, Falcon, Opteka, Phoenix, Polar, Rokinon, Sakar,  Vivitar and others.

Samyang offers a variety of uniquely priced optics, delivering a lot of optical capability for very little money. More recently, they have produced some of the long 500mm f/8 and 400mm f/6.3 telephoto glass lenses described below, which used to be made in Japan.

The T-mount system was introduced by Tamron in 1957 as a universal lens mount for 35mm cameras. The idea was that each lens would have a standard threaded rear flange. A camera specific adapter would then be attached at the point of sale, as needed. This greatly reduced costs since only the T-mount adapters needed to be stocked, rather than different versions of every lens Updated Article Jan 22, 2011
