The Vivicam T328, from Vivitar is a compact, 12-megapixel resolution point and shoot camera featuring a high-quality 3x optical zoom lens that captures every detail. This camera is equipped with red eye reduction, anti-shake and face detection, insuring that images look the way you want, plus a variety of shooting modes to make picture taking easy under a broad range of lighting situations. It sports a large 3.0" touch screen display, making set-up and use quick and easy. Plus, the Vivicam T328 is equipped with PictBridge to make printing directly from the camera possible with variety of similarly equipped printers.
Features
3.0" Touch Screen LCD
A 3.0" touch screen allows convenient and quick operation by touching relevant parts of the screen. Interactive menus are displayed giving the user touch screen options to select, such as flash settings, image size, anti-shake, macro, and scene selection.
Face Detection
The Vivicam T328 has a Face Detection feature. It is a camera function in which the camera electronically seeks out locations and sizes of human faces in images. The camera detects facial features and ignores anything else, such as buildings, trees and bodies, resulting in sharper, clearer portraits.
Anti-Shake
The camera has a function to minimize photo blur as a result of slight camera movements while capturing an image.
Scene Mode
The ViviCam T328 is supplied with preset exposure adjustments for many scenes where you to take photos. Scenes included are: Auto, Night Portrait, Night Scenery, Portrait, Scenery, Sport, Party, Beach or High Sensitivity. Select the scene in accordance with the light and environmental conditions at the time the photo is taken.
Video Mode
Using touch screen settings, users can select Movie or Playback modes. The camera can setup for one of three options: White Balance, to adjust the camera for different lighting conditions; Image Size, to adjust image quality; and Macro, for closeup video images. When the Video Mode is engaged, the Vivicam T328 can record at resolutions of 640 x 480 (VGA) or 320 x 240 pixels. 1 close Please Note:Requires SD memory card (not included)
Print With PictBridge
The cameras PrintBridge capablility allows the user to print photos directly fromt the camera with a PictBridge compatible printer.
Choice of Resolutions
Users of the ViviCam T328 can choose from 8 different resolutions. Image size and quality settings determine the number of photos that can be saved and the amount of memory required for each photo. The higher the photo quality the more memory it will take and will affect the sizing of images for printing. The camera can be adjusted to 12.1, 10, 8, 7, 5, 3, 2Mp and VGA.
PhoTags Software
The PhoTags software included with the Vivicam T328 allows the editing of photos existing on a computer as well as photos captured with the camera. It makes managing photos, enhancing,and cropping images easy. This software lets the user correct red eye, add special effects, and captioning. With PhoTags you can share photos via e-mail, and create web pages, calendars, greeting cards, and more. 2 close Please Note:This software is not compatible with Mac computers
Battery Charges in Camera
To charge the Vivicam's propietary Lithium Ion battery (included), the camera is required to be turned off and connected it to a USB port on a computer. The computer needs to be on and running while the camera is charging. A green LED will light up and will extinguish when the battery is fully charged.

The touch screen is a tease. There are only four touch buttons on the side of the screen you can press. Along with two other hard buttons it makes for a cumbersome navigation of the settings and zoom. It's also hard to take self pics as a finger or part of your hand will enevitably hit one of the touch buttons.
It's also not very click and shootable. You have to hold down the shutter at least until it's done focusing which can take from two to five seconds otherwise it will not take a picture. When it does take a picture there is no quick preview.
There is no way to turn off the "squeek" for each button press. There is no sound in movie mode. The flash setting ALWAYS resets back to no flash which isn't a bad thing as using the flash somehow makes everything either darker or extremely washed out.
