Samsung ST6500 compact digital camera
With an updated design that highlights the sharp angles and rounded soft corners in distinct section. The angles were designed to increase hand holding contentment. The ST6500 is founded upon a 1/2.33" CCD sensor with a resolution of 16 mp. The ST6500's sensor lies behind a Samsung-brand optical 5x zoom lens, with a focal length ranging from 4.7 thru 23.5mm. That about the same 35mm camera field of view compared to a 26mm thru 130mm lens -- a very useful wide angle thru moderate telephoto length. Maximum apertures vary from f/3.3 thru f/5.9, across the entire zoom range.
Due to it's telephoto range, the ST6500 features a true optical image stabilizer, part of a double approach which additionally features Digital Stabilization, although I haven't discovered if this includes deconvolution in an attempt to decrease blur, or merely increases ISO sensitivity and resulting noise levels to obtain faster shutter speeds. The ST6500 does not include any kind of electronic or optical viewfinder, including only a wide angle 3.0 inch LCD monitor on which to compose and view your images. and thanks to the superimpose touch panel and a newly engineered Smart Touch interface it also function as an input tool,
The camera includes Smart Auto selection, which picks from available scene functions subsets automatically, in addition to the Smart Filter 2.0 mode that makes special effects available. Both Smart Filter and Smart Auto can be employed for still and video shooting. Other attribute include Magic Frame mode which includes twelve predefined scenes, and 720p video recording capacity.
The ST6500 was available in the US starting in March 2011, with a MSRP around $230.
