Pentax's new WG!-GPS is waterproof, shockproof, coldproof, dustproof, additionally it provides a 14 mp resolution plus an optical 5x zoom.  Pentax is going after adventure enthusiasts with their just released Optio GPS WG-1 camera, carrying a 14 mp image sensor, a 2.7-inch lcd screen including optical 5x zoom, and into a case engineered to withstand the punishment of city streets and even the great outdoors. The camera can also attain high-definition 720p movies at 30 fps, includes an HDMI port for letting other people in on your adventures on a large screen, also the Pentax WG-1 GPS features a GPS receiver capable of geotagging images automatically, allowing for easy tracking and mapping of photos.

According to Pentax, the new compact Optio WG-1 model is rugged: it's shockproof for plunges as high as five feet, waterproof down to 10 meters (33 feet), t, and features a new crushproof design that should take care of jolts as much as 220 pounds of brute force. The camera can put up with temperatures as low as -10°C (about 14°F), also it's dustproof. The camera features 14 mps, 2.7-inch LCD screen, plus an optical 5x zoom; the WG-1 also packs handy features for compact digital photographers, such as face smile, including blink detection plus a self-portrait help mode. It also sports a digital microscope function featuring five macro LEDS allowing for genuine macro photography illumination, along with a removable macro stand.
