Olympus Stylus 9000 12 MP Digital Camera with 10x Wide Angle Optical Dual Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD
Description
The Olympus Stylus 9000
Digital Camera has a pocket-friendly body and an impressive 10x
Wide-Angle
zoom lens (28-280mm equivalent) which has all the capabilities you need in one compact lens. The 10x optical zoom gets you close to the action while the 28mm wide-angle lens lets you capture breathtaking
panoramas.
It features Dual image stabilization with 2-in-1 anti-blur solution, the Sensor-Shift Image Stabilization, which keeps your shot steady by compensating for camera shake, combines with Digital Image Stabilization to capture crisp, clear images in any situation.
The Intelligent auto feature automatically identifies the scene you're shooing -
portrait, landscape, night portrait, macro, or
sport - and adjusts the settings to optimize results. It also features
Face detection with shadow adjustment which tracks your subjects' faces in a frame, automatically bringing them into focus. It adjusts the exposure for optimal results, even in backlight situations.
The Stylus 9000 captures three images and stitches them together to create one amazing panoramic picture by simply pressing the shutter button and slowly panning across a scene.

Stunning and warm photos - switched from Canon, August 6, 2009
By Grady Tucker (Gaithersburg, MD United States)
I have been a huge Canon Digital camera fan for years and have owned about four cameras. They take great photos, very clear and precise. But they don't handle tough lighting conditions as well as the Olympus cameras.
Olympus has clearly put a lot of effort and technology to creating not only crystal clear photos but keeps the warmth of skin tones and it manages back lighting, sport shots and bright flash much better than the canons do.
You can even shoot through a store window, with flash, and get a good shot.
The prices for these cameras are fantastic. They are a huge value.
Buy it, try it, love it.

Loved the features the Olympus Stylus 9000 has. I really liked the 10x zoom, it's panoramic photos processed right in the camera, super macro mode and many others. Unfortunately, the one I would use the most was a hit-and-miss for taking good photos. In AUTO mode you really have no control on what the camera focuses on, As a result causing many blurry images. It was not camera shake nor zooming that caused the blur. I had the camera for 3 weeks and after testing it on many shots I finally gave up and returned the camera. Bummer, I really wanted that camera!
I gave the camera a 3 star rating as half the photos came out clear and the other half blurry.
