Description: Fujifilm FinePix X-S1 high-end superzoom

What a brilliant move on the part of Fujifilm. They added a mid priced camera to their upper-end X series, directly in between their fun X10 and their more serious X100. The X-S1 Camera resembles a
DSLR, although it has a fixed 24-624mm 26x lens featuring an extremely fast (for this kind of zoom range) with
f/2.8 max aperture down at the wide portion of the
zoom (then it goes up to f/5.6 when at the longer focal lengths). That's translates into a 26x zoom. A genuine wide-angle 24mm through a
genuinely awesome 624mm telephoto lens and with every length in between. Plus, there's a super
macro mode allowing you to acquire your shot all the way up to just 1/2" distance from your subject--making
for hardly any photo you can't shoot with this camera.
A 2/3" CMOS EXR image sensor can capture both high resolution stills along with
1080p HD video using a maximum 12MP resolution. The X-S1 features both a big,
tilt able 3" LCD screen plus a crisp 1440,000-dot EVF (electronic viewfinder). Of course, it captures both
RAW and
JPEGs. The
ISO sensitivity ranges from 100 through ISO 12800 giving you the confidence that you can always acquire the shot, and it doesn't matter how poor the light.
The solid build on the X-S1 includes metal top dials, and a rubber-like textured finish providing a solid grip, along with the capability to use the on-board
flash unit for macro shooting as near as 11.8". The overall build is designed to diminish dust and moisture.
There's a film simulation mode allowing you to mimic a Provia, Velvia, or Astia Fuji film look, or deliver magnificent black and white photos with or without using filtration. There's even the ability to
bracket a dynamic range, film exposure simulation, or ISO sensitivity in any particular situation. A camera that's truly ready to come out and play.
