The Coolpix L110 is power-efficient. It can shoot around 840 still photos or capture 7 hours*1 of HD movie images using the provided AA Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries (FR6/L91). To eliminate any concerns about running low on battery power Normal alkaline or Ni-MH rechargeable batteries can optionally be used. These are available virtually everywhere.

The Coolpix L100 provides a collection of innovative image stabilizing functions*2. Nikon's digital Image sensor shift and Electronic VR counterweigh any
consequential camera shake, whilst Motion Detection controls shutter speed automatically. Expanded light sensitivity settings that go as as high as ISO 6400*3 further add capability that helps assure crisper results when photographing in poor light or shooting subjects that are fast-moving. Moreover, the stable grip for the Nikon L110 is designed to stay in step with these technologies by imparting added image stability.
*1 Recording automatically stops after 29 minutes. This number is based on in-house testing standards and
tested for recording at 25°C with AA-size lithium (FR6/L91) batteries. Actual results
could vary depending on factors that include ambient temperature differences, and the amount of
autofocus and zoom functions used.
*2 The L110 chooses and applies only the features needed to optimize each image.

The Nikon Coolpix L110 is the company's demoted Super Zoom that answers to the 1080p-clad Coolpix P100. The Coolpix L110 offers a 15x optical zoom, 28mm wide-angle lens, and 720p video recording. Absent are most manual controls and external features. Instead, the Nikon Coolpix L110 seemed like just another average 12-megapixel budget Super Zoom in this price range.

The Nikon Coolpix L110 is based around a 4:3 aspect ratio 1/2.3-inch CCD image sensor with an effective resolution of 12.1 megapixels, coupled with a Nikkor-branded 15x optical zoom lens. Maximum image dimensions are 4,000 x 3,000 pixels, and an alternate 16:9 aspect ratio is also available.
