The new SX230 HS is the first Canon PowerShot camera available with integrated GPS (Global Positioning System) engineering. You can now travel the planet and the camera will keep records of the local times and locations you shot the stills and videos automatically for you to dramatic recall time after time! The effectiveness of the GPS technology can also be maximized by employing the included special Map Utility software which allows sharing those memories of your worldwide adventures to be extremely fun. In addition to showing your photo spots on a worldwide map, the camera's GPS functions can also follow your route from one photo to another, what a terrific way to visualize the extent of your travel during an individual trip! Custom maps may also be created and shared with family and friends somewhat like personalized mini-travel guide, to share ideas with them on what they can do and see as they visit a specific location.
