Reviews
Canon has also launched the PowerShot SX130 IS superzoom, replacing the SX120 IS. It sees a resolution increase to 12MP, a longer 12x zoom range starting at 28mm, gains SDXC support, offers HD movie recording and additional scene modes including a Miniature mode. The rest of the features remain the same including a 3.0" LCD, P/A/S/M shooting, image stabilization and AA battery power.

The Canon PowerShot SX130 IS shines just like any other prized point-and-shoot we've seen to date. But our photographic adventures were frequently interrupted by battery changes. Far too frequently. In fact, we couldn't go more than a half hour without tossing in fresh AAs. A lithium ion battery might have cured this longevity issue, but it's too little too late. Sadly, the Canon PowerShot SX130 IS exhibited the worst battery life we've seen to date.
