Reach out and Touch. The feature that stands out the most is that the the SD3500IS sports a touch screen instead of a bunch of dials and buttons. This quite and
adjustment, but as soon you grasp the concept (and the right place) to tap on the monitor you will discover that a majority of features are simple to use. Plus the monitor is quite big. One caveat though - this camera has no viewfinder, and large screens can be difficult to see in bright sunlight. So there may be times when you be required to point, squint, and shoot. One more thing to be aware of with a big LCD screen is that, sooner or later, as you keep dropping it in your purse or pocket with a bunch of keys that it will eventually scratch. Get a bunch of LCD protectors (the options are countless).
