Topaz Adjust Photoshop Plugin
Topaz Adjust is really neat! It's a very elegant although simple, to use tool that lets you accomplish HDR-like results using only one image file. I use it all the time.
If you decide to get it direct it from the Topaz's Website (instant download for those of you that are impatient!). When you checkout, use their coupon code "STUCKINCUSTOMS" which lets you save money. I suggest you go ahead and get the entire Photoshop Bundle, because all their products are included and it's a really good buy. You can even contact Eric Yang most all the time if you do have any issues with the software.
Several photography friends told me that I should try this product, and I am so glad I did. It’s
terrific tool and I couldn't recommend it any higher.
Okay, let's get to the review! If you've been to my site before, you know, the reviews I do are typically short and to the point and the results stand on their own. Let's look at a few photos using Topaz Adjust.
Topaz Adjust, a plugin for Photoshop that creates HDR-like results using just one single image.
Once your image is loaded in photoshop, choosing the Topaz Adjust plugin will open an extremely friendly window that is as simple as it gets. What the team at Topaz has done is to create a simply amazing fun program!.
On the left side of your screen, are presets by the dozens. Typically, I dislike presets as I never find even a single one that meets any of my needs. However, Topaz had done such a great job with this variety that you are able get a cool adjustment the first time. Something very clever these previews do that they are tiny thumbnails. Clicking on one displays larger version at the right. and quick about it too. I’ve gotten used to plugin options churning away forever and that's just for the preview. Topaz is not that way, Topaz is almost instant!
After you opt for one of these presets on the left, from there you can go ahead and do micro-adjustments using the available sliders. There are so adjustments you can do with an image, it is simply astonishing. The names are weird as the results are also weird. Similar to other tools, I suggest you play around with them to get a feel for them. I haven't planed on talking about every feature, although for instance, the "Boost" slider really pumps up the resulting "HDR" effect.
There are a bunch of pictures from the tool shown below so you get some idea of what I'm talking about. Also, there are "before" shots of the before I ran them through the Topaz Adjust plugin. I used a number of filters, while some are a bit excessive, I just rotated them down somewhat. Topaz has convinced me that each image is unique, and that it should be used differently for each image.
