Sigma firmware update for SD15
Sigma announces a function enhancing firmware update for the SD15 DSLR camera.
This Firmware v1.01 adds a second Quick Set (Qs2) option for additional access to
frequently used features. It also adds a Key Sound cancellation function has
also been added and the LCD display quality has been improved.

Auto focusing issue affects limited number of Sigma telezoom lenses
After thorough investigation, we have ascertained that some APO 50-500mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM, APO 120-400mm F4.5-5.6 DG OS HSM and APO 150-500mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM lenses, produced recently, may have a potential autofocus defect.
This issue could possibly occur in some lenses within the following range of serial numbers:
List of lenses requiring the modification

APO 50-500mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM: Serial Numbers between 10633051 and 10972000
APO 120-400mm F4.5-5.6 DG OS HSM: Serial Numbers between 10574001 and 10972000
APO 150-500mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM: Serial Numbers between 10674301 and 10972000
Support for this problem
To overcome this issue, we will be offering our customers a modification service, free of charge. If one of our customers is experiencing an autofocus issue with one of the above lenses, we will rectify the situation through the help of our local authorized Sigma Service Stations.

Photoshop CS5 Lens Correction to support Sigma
The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce that, through collaboration with Adobe Systems Incorporated (Headquarter: Shinagawa-Ku, Tokyo), Sigma lenses will be compatible with the “Lens Correction” feature of the professional digital imaging standard, “Adobe® Photoshop® CS5” and “Adobe® Photoshop® CS5 Extended” software (hereinafter referred to as Adobe Photoshop CS5)” (Windows® version/Macintosh® version).
Adobe Photoshop CS5 has applied the aberration information of the current Sigma lens lineup*. When the improved “Lens Correction” filter is selected, it will provide accurate correction of aberrations automatically in accordance with each lens parameter.
It is also possible to adjust or reset the compensation value of “geometric distortion”, “chromatic aberrations”, and “vignetting” after this processing.
Adobe Photoshop CS5 will apply optimum correction of aberration to photographers who own Sigma lenses.

Sigma releases firmware updates for DP2 & DP2s digital cameras

Sigma has released firmware updates for its DP2 and DP2s large-sensor digital compact cameras. Both updates promise improved image quality at ISO 400. Version 1.05 for the DP2 and firmware v1.01 for the DP2s are available for immediate download from Sigma's website.

Sigma has posted a firmware update for its DP2 large-sensor digital compact. Version 1.02 improves autofocus performance and allows you to access magnified live view with a single button press when in manual focus mode.
