Panasonic has posted a firmware update for the Lumix DMC-FZ100 superzoom compact. Version 1.1 is intended to address occasional banding or shadow noise that can occur in specific shooting conditions. The firmware is available for immediate download from Panasonic's website.

Panasonic 14-140mm firmware availability announced
Panasonic has announced firmware v1.3 for its Lumix G Vario HD 14-140mm / F4.0-5.8 ASPH/ Mega O.I.S. is now available for download. Announced at Photokina
2010, the update that promises to improve the lens' AF speed can be downloaded
via Panasonic's website.

Today Panasonic announces the new firmware updates for the interchangeable lens LUMIX G VARIO HD 14-140mm / F4.0-5.8 ASPH. / MEGA O.I.S. (H-VS014140) and the camera DMC-G2 of LUMIX G Micro System. The included software PHOTOfunSTUDIO 5.0 HD Edition is also going to be updated.

The Firmware Ver.1.3 for LUMIX G VARIO HD 14-140mm / F4.0-5.8 ASPH. / MEGA O.I.S. (H-VS014140) will be released at the beginning of October, 2010 and the Firmware Ver.1.1 for DMC-G2 and PHOTOfunSTUDIO 5.0 HD Edition update program will be available in November 2010.

Panasonic has just released new firmware updates
for their Lumix DMC-TS2, DMC-ZS5, DMC-ZS6 and DMC-ZR3 cameras. Labeled Firmware Version 1.1 for all four models, this new update adds functionally when using optional INON underwater strobe flash units; specifically the S-2000, D-2000, and Z-240 models.
