The zoom ranges from 14 to 45mm (28 to 90mm in 35mm SLR equivalent terms) which is an excellent choice for a vast array of scenes including landscapes and portrait photos. It features a single Aspherical lens element to cut down on distortion at every focal length. Additionally, it supports the Panasonic contrast autofocus system for quick and precise capturing of images.
The Panasonic Optical Image Stabilizing system (MEGA O.I.S). assists in keeping images sharp when handholding your camera and in poor light environments. It also contains an aperture with 7 blades to provide for smooth-appearing out-of-focus locations in your photos. It's a compact size lens of just of 60mm ( 2.63") with a weight of just195g ( 6.88 oz).
