It's just about a perfect lens for common every-day photography, and especially mounted on an ultra-compact Olympus E-400 camera. This 14-42mm features 10 elements within 8 groups, including one ED lens element plus 2 aspherical elements. The 35mm equivalent focal length is 28-84mm.
