The three in-camera art filters transform your photography into works of art. Pop Art super-saturates colors, creating brighter, more vivid photographs. The E-600's 100-percent accurate 270-degree swivel 2.7-inch Live View HyperCrystal III LCD can be rotated freely so photographers can compose at any angle, including overhead and down low. The LCD displays in vivid color and provides a wide viewing angle of 176 degrees, which ensures images can be composed from even the most obscure angles.

The seven-point twin cross AF system provides fast and accurate focusing. Super sensitive seven-point Twin including, five-Twin Cross AF target points, can measure focus both vertically and horizontally, so regardless of the subject, focusing is super-simple and fast. The E-600 packs a 12.3 MP Live MOS sensor and the TruePic III+ image processing engine to provide accurate color fidelity, sharp detail, professional picture quality, and overall superior performance.

The E-600 features three modes of in-body Image Stabilization. That means you can use any Four Thirds lens, from wide-angle to telephoto, for perfectly clear, crisp photos no matter what the shooting situation, even in low light situations. Face Detection reduces the chance of blurred subjects in photography by distinguishing between people's faces and the background.

Shadow Adjustment Technology adjusts the exposure in the shadows while retaining all the detail in the bright areas. The Olympus dust reduction system is an industry first and a proven technology. Every time you turn on the E-600, our Supersonic Wave Filter - located between the shutter and the image sensor - silently vibrates an amazing 30,000 times per second. Dust will no longer get between you and a great shot.

The E-600 is compatible with the Olympus FL-50R and FL-36R wireless electronic flashes that are designed exclusively for digital photography. When these flashes are used in combination with the E-600, wireless multi-flash photography is possible. The 12.3 megapixel E-600's TruePic III+ Image Processor produces crystal-clear photos with accurate color, true-to-life flesh tones, brilliant blue skies and precise tonal representation. TruePic III+ also lowers image noise by one step to reduce graininess in images shot at higher ISO settings, enabling great results in low-light situations. The ZUIKO DIGITAL 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 3x standard zoom lens is the smallest and lightest in its class and features a closest focusing distance of only 25cm. The ED (Extra-low Dispersion) and two aspherical lens elements correct aberrations without increasing lens dimensions. The circular aperture diaphragm enables beautiful defocusing - one of the big advantages of this lens. Excellent mobility is assured by a weight of less than 190 grams.

The ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40-150mm F4.0-5.6 300mm (35mm equivalent) lens in a short 7.2cm body with ED lens elements, ensuring both picture quality and portability. Boasting the smallest size and lightest weight in its class, this cost-efficient 3.8x telephoto lens uses an ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens element for optimum correction of chromatic aberrations. Incorporating a circular aperture diaphragm for beautiful defocusing, this lens assures high picture quality throughout the zoom range, as well as providing an astonishingly short closest focusing distance of 90cm throughout the zoom range.

Three Art Filters: The three in-camera Art Filters allow you to replicate dramatic effects as you shoot using the Autofocus Live View LCD. Choose from Pop Art, Soft Focus or Pin Hole filters.

AutoFocus Live View: On-screen autofocus w/Live View works as seamlessly as a point-and-shoot to disp subjs, in focus, on the LCD the instant the shutter is pressed half way. The 2.7" dual-axis, high-def, Live View monitor swivels 270° so you can capture imgs, even at difficult-to-shoot angles.

AF System: Super sensitive seven-point Twin including, five-Twin Cross AF target points, can measure focus both vertically and horizontally, so regardless of the subject, focusing is super-simple and fast.

In-Body Image Stabilization : It is a state-of-the-art technology that prevents camera shake. Built into the camera body, Olympus' img stabilization works by moving the img sensor and it works with all Four Thirds Zuiko Dig lenses frm the 8mm fisheye to the 300mm super telephoto for handheld shots.

Face Detection: Tracks up to eight faces and automatically focuses and optimizes exposures for sharp, brilliant portrait pictures.

Five Metering Modes: With the E-600, there are five Metering Modes: Digital ESP metering, Center weighted averaging metering and three types of spot metering including shadow and highlight spot metering. Simply select the most suitable mode for the shooting condition.

Pixel Mapping: The Automatic Pixel Mapping function inside the camera helps prevent faulty pixels from affecting image quality. This feature can be manually selected from the camera's menu and takes only seconds to complete.

Memory Cards - Dual Media Slots: The E-600 supports Compact Flash (Type I and Type II) Microdrive and xD-Picture Card memory cards. It is UDMA media-compatible for the highest performance. Use the dual-slot design to transfer images you want to save from one card to another.

Viewfinder: With a 95% field-of-view viewfinder you'll have a clear and accurate view of your subject.

Languages: Choose from 34 different languages in the menu system.

5X / 7X / and 10X Magnification: Live View magnification allows you to enlarge your subject right on the LCD. Simply turn the control dial to change the magnification (5®/7®/10®) so you can view fine details and then adjust focus, exposure or composition as needed.
