Easy to Upgrade From a Point & Shoot

Nikon 1 S1 Mirrorless Digital Camera The Nikon Digital 1 S1 Mirrorless Camera along with a 11-27.5mm kit lens combines a compact high speed mirrorless camera along with a wide thru short telephoto zoom lens. The 1 S1 encompasses a CMOS 13.2mm x 8.8mm image sensor and an EXPEED 3A Imaging Processor providing hybrid high speed autofocus as quick as 15 fps of continuous photography. The 10.1MP image sensor with a 100 to 6400 ISO range delivers detailed, clear, accurate color imaging even in while low-light environments. Additionally, the 1 S1 offers Full HD 1080i movies at 60 fps. Simultaneous acquisition lets you shoot stills while capturing video and toggle back to your video using a dedicated button.

A 3.0 inch TFT color LCD monitor featuring 460k-dot resolution offers composition and playback screening and features Live Image Control where you can actually see the changes to settings you make right on the monitor before you press the shutter. Best Moment Capture lets you see live action using Slow View as a way to acquire that perfect moment while Motion Snapshot allows you to combine a still image with a slow motion movie for total documentation of a time moment.

Things are made easy for photographers upgrading to the 1 S1 from point & shoot cameras by providing a more basic user interface, Smart Photo Selector and Best Moment Capture which will automatically choose the best photo out of 15 frames captured in burst mode. The Nikon 1 S1 also features a popup flash unit for those times when lighting situations call for additional light

The 1 S1 can use every 1 NIKKOR lens and a kit includes a 11-27.5mm f/3.5-5.6 zoom compact lens, a terrific lens for all day photography as it contains a focal length ranging from 30-74mm equivalent 35mm film format. This is a flexible focal range in a compact layout featuring a maximum f/3.5 aperture that provides for shooting in low light. Its optical design features aspherical elements along with glass featuring extra-low dispersion for reducing aberrations, while the Internal Focusing devices allows the lens length to stay the same all through the focusing range.

The available mobile WU-1b adapter lets you easily transfer images wirelessly from your 1 S1 to a tablet or smart phone and even control your camera remotely from your phone. ✓
