The Nikon 10-100mm VR f/4.5-5.6 Zoom-PD lens, a simply amazing power zoom engineered for exclusive use on Nikon 1 CX mirror-less cameras. An equivalent 35mm format 27-270mm range is a genuine wide angle lens, a long telephoto lens and everything else in-between. Due to the Nikon 1's full HD 1080p movie capabilities, this lens contains silent zoom featuring an AF voice coil motor (VCM) allowing for three adjustable speeds--producing the ideal lens for capturing video. The VR II Vibration Reduction system allows for shooting at quite a bit less shutter speeds, with crisper photos, than is normally available.
Because of aspherical elements, High Refractive Index glass, extra-low dispersion materials, and Super Integrated Coatings, the lens creates superb images, both still and video. Internal focusing allows for a lighter, smaller, lens with closer focusing distances.
With the widest lens available for the Nikon 1 system
being 10mm, (a 27mm 35mm equivalent focal
length). Now 27mm is not very wide. However the closest thing to a wide angle
would be the Sigma 8-16mm F4.5-5.6 DC HSM Lens
which would work out to a (24-48mm 35mm equivalent
on the Nikon 1 CX, still not all that wide) by using the Nikon FT-1 Lens Adapter
