Pleasant Surprise

I Just recently received one of these brand new. I was surprised by the precision and low manufacturing tolerances of the camera - particularly the bellows focusing mechanism. It's built like a late 70's Japanese Toyota Celica.
The rotating back is smooth, precise, and positive. The mirror up and lens shutter have a very "photographic" and pleasant sound.
Best to use with waist level finder due to weight and poor visibility issues of accessory prism.
The RB67 in my mind is primarily a portrait camera system from group shots to macro portraiture of isolated facial or body features of one individual. And at that, it's probably the most competent system ever
manufactured for the film format.
I feel this is a dream portraiture system for anyone who does their own printing in the darkroom.
I highly recommend this camera to artists interested in continuing in the medium of film photography.
