Leica Q (Typ 116) Digital Camera The Leica Q (Typ116) is a no compromise Compact, Digital Camera featuring a full-frame 24.2-megapixel CMOS sensor within its especially portable, and elegant, body. Taking advantage of the power of the Maestro II series image processor, high-resolution, low-noise photography is feasible at sensitivity ranges up to ISO 50,000 and at a repeated rate of 10 frames per second. In addition, the camera makes use of a Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH. lens allowing users to dramatically isolate the subject from the backdrop as well as work in difficult light situations.

Another advantage of the updated Maestro II processor is full 1080p HD video movies at 30 or 60 fps. The stereo microphone which is built-in delivers high-quality sound recording which includes an integrated wind filter to limit extraneous noise. Full manual control then allows users to dial in the precise look they need or desire for their shot.

The Leica's classic simple artistic look while the body has an easy to read laser engraved number and dials lettering. Construction is machibed from a solid machined aluminum top plate along with a lightweight magnesium alloy body. In addition,, it has a big thumb rest on the back side and a diamond pattern on the front leather to ensure a comfortable, firm grip over the camera. Additionally, the Q (Typ 116) features a built-in 3.68-megapixel LCOS electronic viewfinder providing a live through-the-lens image with handling not unlike to that of a rangefinder.

In addition to fully manual control with physical operation using the aperture and focus rings on the lens, auto focus is possible using a contrast-based system. This enables fast, sharp imaging at the click of the shutter. The rear 3.0" 1,040k-dot touchscreen LCD monitor helps by allowing users to quickly take control of their focus by just tapping on their subject. Focusing aids are also available in the form of Focus Peaking and Live View Zoom.

Instantly share your pictures and videos thanks to a unified Wi-Fi module which allows you to connect the camera to a tablet, smartphone, or computer. The Q also contains an NFC chip for tap-to-connect function with certain devices and the free Leica Q application allows you take control your your camera remotely for adjusting exposure while you capture images from odd positions and angles. Furthermore, a copy of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is also included for expert-level editing, management, and export of your stills and movies.
