A Very Bright, Large f/2.0
XF 18mm (27mm) f/2.0 Lens -
Maximum Lens Aperture
Specifically engineered for the X-Pro1 APS-C sensor Fujifilm camera. This compact, lightweight, wide-angle "pancake" style lens is equivalent to using a 27mm lens in 35mm format. By using glass-molded aspheric lenses in element five and element seven, makes it effective in expanding the maximum aperture element five) and shrinking the overall lens thickness (element seven). The last element is placed as near to the image sensor as possible, which reduces the incidence light angle arriving at the sensor and reduces color shading and vignetting, while serving to keep the overall size of the lens small.
The very bright, large f/2.0 maximum lens aperture allows for shooting in very poor light and delivers pleasing bokeh (this is the out-of-focus part of an image) with a 7-blade aperture layout. it's a terrific camera lens for interiors, street photography and landscapes. To benefit from the mirrorless engineering of the X-Pro1, the the lens rear element is as near as feasible to the sensor, appreciably shrinking the rear focus distance .
The lens construction features Super EVC coating to improve optical performance and deliver improved resolution from center-to-edge and brightness which is free of chromatic aberration, plus a metal barrel,. The last lens element, which is positioned as near to the image sensor as
feasible, making all prevalence angle of light arriving at the sensor reduced and thus reducing color shading and vignetting while assisting in keeping the overall size of the lens small. This lens features a maximum magnification ratio of 0.14x while the aperture ring features 1/3-stop clicks allowing for more exacting exposures.
