Description
So for the average person just wanting to get some good shots on their
camera then this lens should work well. It does feel a little cheap and
light in my opinion but its considered a kit lens to begin with so can't
complain too much there. I've been using it for over a year now and thus far
have taken some decent shots with it. I have posted some for reveiwers
viewing pleasure. Nothing phenomenal, but something to go off of.
Although it is dressed in "USM" (Ultrasonic Motor) in its
designation, the Canon EF 28-90mm f/4-5.6 II USM Lens employ the less
significant Micro-USM - not Canon's outstanding Ring-USM. The 28-90 USM does
focus quickly and quietly.
There is no (Full Time Manual) focusing. The truth is, the miniature MF (Manual Focus) ring is
tricky to use and is positioned on the extending portion of the lens barrel.
Making use of a 5-blade aperture, the Canon EF 28-90mm f/4-5.6 III USM Lens is a slooow lens starting with an aperture of f/4
and going to f/5.6 around 73mm.
Quiet AF is the hallmark of Canon Ultrasonic Motor ( USM ) technology, and this compact Lens now combines USM with cutting edge electronics, for the fastest AF lens in its class. This lightweight lens (only 6.7 ounces) also has a revised exterior appearance, highlighted by a new rubber Zoom ring.
