Nikon SB-910 AF Speedlight i-TTL Shoe Mount Flash

Nikon SB-910 AF Speedlight

Camera Description

Description

Nikon's SB-910 Speedlight unit, the most technically advanced Speedlight yet. The SB-910 makes the Nikon lighting mastery easier to operate including a menu navigation system, featuring a fresh, more simplified GUI (graphic user interface). There's a dedicated Menu knob with rapid access to customized settings also makes the flash operation simpler. There's also improved thermal protection which prevents overheating by slowing the recycle time down automatically rather than simply shutting the flash down during rapid firing. Also included are hard filters for tungsten and fluorescent lighting, plus the white balance on the camera is changed automatically by the flash to go with the filter being used.

The automatic zoom head is congruent with 17mm through 200mm lenses (in equivalent 35mm FX and film formats), and can go over this range in a scant 1.2 seconds. You can choose from three patterns to distribute the lighting: Standard, Even, and Center-weighted. It can also automatically determine if it is attached to a FX or DX image sensor camera, and accordingly adjust itself .

The SB-910 will function as an unaccompanied flash, or as a member of a wireless grouping, by either using Commander mode or set up as a slave unit (remote). This flash's i-TTL system supports versatile functions and Advanced Wireless Lighting up to four groupings of Speedlights, allowing 3 of the remote i-TTL unit Speedlight groupings being controlled from a master SB-910. i-TTL There is balanced Fill-Flash operation that uses the Nikon Advanced Data Communication. A system that delivers an enhanced technique for wireless operation and monitor the pre-flash that marks an advancement in higher precision--by creating the foundation of the Nikon Creative Lighting System.

Please note that this SB-910 unit is only totally congruent with DSLR cameras which support i-TTL functions. On older cameras which use D-TTL mode, just the [A] Auto mode (the non-TTL) can be used.
