Canon EOS Digital Photography
A comprehensive book on the subject of Canon EOS lenses, cameras, speed flashes and other accessories. If you are a repeat purchaser of Canon gear or if you're building a Canon DSLR system, this book is the solution to the numerous questions that may be on your mind, including aspects concerning the Canon digital processing software included with their camera systems. A few sections of this book might be too techie for
newbie's, and I would recommend other books for those seeking detailed information on shooting quality images.
This book is geared more toward gaining knowledge of the technical area of photography, and assisting you in understanding various camera functions, settings, and variations between the variety of Canon cameras and lens models. This book does not include the most recent Canon cameras--the Canon 50D , 60D or the Canon 5D Mark II. All prose of this book is exceptionally readable, and features assignments and exercises that mirror information set forth in each chapter. There are video tutorials (not created by the author, although by other photographers) on an included CD-ROM, that comes with the book, they see ok, but I think these tutorials may be somewhat too fast paced for the typical beginner, glossing over a number of techniques instead of going into detail on several topics. The last chapters of this book supply a digital photography glossary, a handy list of website resources, and a
quick reference index. The book's companion website is also helpful
